Well folks, the Wild Bunch has finished one heckuva busy year.  And we loved every minute of it….if we was any happier, we’d have to be twins!  And it’s all thanks to y’all.  Our BOA kin have kept the faith through thick n thin and it’s forever appreciated.  This year saw us play our first-ever Classic Rock Cruise, have a reunion with our brothers, old and new at a Memphis studio…and finally throw down some new tunes!!  Shooter Jennings cut one of our songs for his album and he had Jim get up on stage with him a couple times.  Hell, Phil Anselmo from Pantera has Jim get up on stage!  The year saw us get a chance at our dreams again, but also lose a true brother, Stanley.  What’d the writer say:  ‘It was the best of times; it was the worst of times’.  But we hope we done Stanley and his family proud with the new album.  “Back Thar N Over Yonder” was our first album release in 15 years and we finally got to come back to our first home, Atlantic Records.  Mr. Ahmet Ertegun signed us there in 1971 and they got the young ‘uns now carrying forward the BOA legacy.  They had us busier than a mouse in a cheese factory-  We was doing interviews with Spain, France, Germany, England, Mexico, Brazil and even in Little Rock, Arkansas!!  We got to play the Whiskey in LA for the first time in 42 years and back in Times Square NYC for the first time in 35 years.  We was honored in Little Rock by it being called Black Oak Arkansas Day, having a big ol front page article and a TV news thing showing.  Our family at Atlantic got a whole 1 hour special shown on VH1 and Paladia…first time we had anything like that since back in the Midnight Special days!

Now that’s just a Arkansas long-winded way of sayin’, none of this here woulda happened if y’all hadn’t stuck with us all these years.  We got the best fans and families in the world and we thank the Lord for y’all every day.  Merry Christmas, Happy New Years and a special yuletide wish for Stanley “Goober Grin” Kinight.  Play it pretty, brother.
